Sacramento Greek Festival 2026: Three Days, $5 Admission, and 63 Years of Tradition

fall wine festival in sacramento

Every October, one block of Midtown Sacramento turns into a corner of the Aegean. The Sacramento Greek Festival — hosted by Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church at 616 Alhambra Boulevard — returns October 2–4, 2026 for its 63rd consecutive year. That kind of run is rare anywhere, and it says something about what this weekend has meant to Sacramento families across three generations.

The festival is three days of outdoor dining, live music, Greek dancing, and wine — all on the grounds of a church that’s been part of the neighborhood since 1921. It draws a crowd that ranges from the Greek diaspora who grew up eating here as kids to newcomers discovering the event for the first time. Either way, the draw is the same: food that’s genuinely made with care, entertainment that’s actually good, and a block-party energy that’s hard to manufacture.

What’s There

The grounds host both indoor and outdoor dining, with tents providing shade and plenty of seating for those who want to settle in for a while. The Mythos Band performs live Greek music throughout the weekend, and DJ Chris Perris handles the in-between sets. Traditional Greek dancers perform across all three days — some of the best free folk-dance watching you’ll find in Sacramento.

On the food side, the Annunciation booths serve authentic Greek dishes alongside Greek wine. There are also a souvenir booth and additional vendors on the grounds. All Annunciation booths are cashless this year — credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay are accepted. Some independent vendors may still take cash at their discretion, but count on cards to be your primary option.

Friday Funday Is the Best Value

Friday, October 2 runs a special “Friday Funday” session from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with admission reduced to $3. That’s the lowest price of the weekend and a good window for anyone who wants to avoid the Saturday crowd. General admission for the rest of the weekend is $5.

For Saturday and Sunday hours, check annunciationsac.org before heading over — the church updates hours there directly.

Getting There

The festival has offsite parking with a shuttle service running to the venue, so driving in and circling the block isn’t the move. An Uber promotion is also available if you’re coming from farther out. If you’re on a bike, there’s a monitored corral on 30th Street. The church is at 616 Alhambra Blvd, Sacramento, CA 95816 — it’s walkable from several Midtown blocks if you’re within range.

Bottom Line

Sixty-three years in the same spot, at the same price point, with live music and dancing — the Sacramento Greek Festival is the kind of October weekend event that doesn’t need a marketing pitch. For $5, or $3 if you make it out Friday morning, it’s one of the better ways to spend a few hours in Midtown this fall. The cashless policy is new this year, so make sure your phone or card is handy before you go.
